Altair is thrilled to announce that Maplesoft is adding its Maple Flow solution to the Altair Partner Alliance (APA), where it will join two other Maplesoft products – Maple, and MapleSim. Maple Flow is a mathematics tool that makes it easy for engineers to develop and document their design calculations. As a company, Maplesoft provides engineers with the tools and expertise they need to enable a model-driven innovation process that helps manage design complexity. Maplesoft products and services are used in machine design, robotics, aerospace, automotive, and many other fields where engineers face complex challenges. Maplesoft was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
With Maple Flow, Altair customers will be able to save time in design documentation and calculation management. This is because Maple Flow’s design calculation sheets are easy to read and clearer to review, which reduces errors and produces polished, print-ready documents. Additionally, engineers can gather design calculations alongside reference material, such as design guide sections and project images, making it easy to share and update designs over a long project timeline. Moreover, Maple Flow handles equations and units with ease. Any changes made to the parameters automatically cascade throughout the entire document, so results are always up to date. Maple Flow is a great asset for engineers across industries, including those in structural, civil, design, and electrical engineering.
Most importantly, Maple Flow gives users a faster, cleaner alternative to creating calculation documents using spreadsheets. Users can prepare design sheets in a print-ready format without the heavy lifting of working with formulas in cells. Maple Flow users can type in fractions and nested equations straight from a design guide, using readable math notation, so an equation looks like an equation. The flexible canvas of Maple Flow provides an intuitive way to speed up design sheet preparation and updates.
“We’re thrilled to bring Maple Flow alongside our existing products already offered within the APA,” said Chris Harduwar, vice president of business development, Maplesoft. “Maple Flow makes life easier for engineers of all stripes and helps users get the job done right the first time. With our tools, users can perform quicker, more efficient, and more accurate calculations and get results they can act on right away.”
